Sounds like a question for the manufacturer of both items. **Q: will this work for receiver model 625?** A: Yes it will, as both IR and UHF. **Q: will it work with a dvr 512** A: Yes it does! Works perfectly with my 512!! **Q: will this one control my vizio tv power on/off & volume?** A: It should work. I don't really understand what the 6.0 refers to -- is it a frequency? Is it a model #? Is it both? But, in any case, I found that the 6.0 remote was replaced by the 6.4 remote (per the product page on Amazon). Bottom line: the new 6.4 remote works perfectly for our #2 TV, once I got it synched to our Dish receiver. Our old 6.0 remote also works, but must be closer to the Dish DVR unit in order for it to work consistently.One caveat: the instructions that come with the remote (to pair it up with your Dish DVR) are close to non-existent, but they are still very, very important. The instructions for programming the remote in our Dish User's Guide DID NOT WORK. The one instruction that comes with the new remote says to "Press the record button on the remote". Then, "program the Recover(?) button as instructed in your User's Guide".OK. These instructions are very cryptic. BUT the user guide does not mention anything about having to first press the Record button. So, I tried first pressing the record button on the remote (as instructed on the slip of paper that came with it), then followed the instructions in the Dish User's Guide. This procedure worked. Bottom line: you must first press the Record Button on the remote in order to program your remote to synch up with your Dish receiver. Odd, but true. (Note that this will actually start recording from the TV, and you will have to go back and delete the recording.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Same quality as the previous remotes ordered from DISH. *by A***Z on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2022* This remote is identical to the previous remotes I’ve received from DISH NETWORK.
