I can't big this item up enough. We bought it for our Golden Retriever, Indy, following his neutering operation. The 'Cone of Shame' (as in shame that vets still think they are a good idea) utterly traumatised him before we even got it on his head :-( and the inflatable neck pad didn't stop him being able to lick himself. We ordered this funky little outfit and after a sleepless night, where we took it in turns to watch the dog while he slept to make sure he didn't get to his operation site, it arrived - and it was BRILLIANT. The dog was comfortable in the soft, stretchy material, it stopped him even trying to lick his wound and we could get some sleep!! It's easy to get on, even for a big dog, and the press studs make it easy to roll up when it was toilet time, there is even a little clip round strip to hold the material in place while the dog does his business. In retrospect, we should have got two, as Indy was less amused by my husband's underpants we put on him when we had to wash the suit. This was a brilliant purchase and worked wonders for our dog. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 24 October 2019* Our Lab had to have surgery to have her uterus removed and she was doomed to the 'cone of shame' for a while. After a few days I felt it would be nice to let her have the cone off in the day and just have it on for piece of mind at night. I have one of the inflatable ones but didn't trust she wouldn't be able to get to her wound or shaved areas were she had injections/fluids. I decided to look online for something and came across the Suitical recovery suit.I spent quite a bit of time contemplating which size to get - either Medium Plus or Large - and trying to measure her. She is a small, slender Lab at around 26kg, so I decided to go for the Medium Plus.It actually fit her pretty perfectly! The material (mostly cotton with a bit of lycra) - is pretty stretchy. New on, it was very hugging, but not too tight that she would be uncomfortable. The important part was that it was stretched over her everywhere apart from the tummy area where her wound was, which had a little roominess. So that was great as I didn't want it to be tight and rub there.She was a little unsure what she had one her at first but soon go used to it and could tell she was so much more comfortable than being in that big ol' plastic cone! So we kept her in this suit for around 1 week with wearing the cone at night, then another week with no cone at all. It's been absolutely brilliant. Washed it twice and no issues there either. Also over time of her wearing it it's loosened up just a bit for her. After the'd been wearing it for a while or sleeping in it, I did have to just shimmy it up a bit but that's no big deal.The poppers at the back make it really easy to just unpop for when they want to go out for their business. You can kind of roll it up to keep the back bits out the way. I found there is 1 popper underneath and a strap with popper on inside. What I did was tuck the back parts inside then you can pop the strap bit around - although the back flaps could still come out if the shook or ran about enough so not too sure. I looked to see if there were instructions for their recommendation of how to use it but there wasn't any in the packet. Again - no big deal though!I couldn't comment on how long this suit would last with prolonged use, but it's been great for the 2 weeks she's had it on and if she ever needs it again (hopefully not!) then we have it ready to go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another either! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A brilliant suit for dogs! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 July 2017* My dog was spayed and being rather large had an absolutely massive e-collar to wear which she totally hated. I bought one of these so she would be able to sleep and also to wear during the day so she didn't keep bashing into things.I am so glad I did!! This was an absolute lifesaver.I ordered a medium for my 30KG German Shepherd x Collie and it was rather snug but despite probably being a size too small it did not rub her anywhere and she was comfortable enough to sleep and play. It was incredibly easy to roll up for when I brought her out into the garden to go to the loo and easy to roll back down while still avoiding my dogs stitches.I ran it through the washing machine and it came out exactly the same, no shrinkage and no shape change and I was able to pop it straight back onto her.The only thing I did notice was that my dogs hair fell out at an absolutely unbelievable rate once she started wearing this though the vet did say it could have been due to the anaesthetic and the stress of the op. However once her stitches were out and she stopped wearing it the hair shedding stopped too. It could have been that I noticed it more since it wasn't able to naturally blow around with the suit on.I absolutely love this product, it was exactly what I needed for my dog and I am so happy to have it.
