Review: Perfect fit - Perfect cho8ce. - This is the fourth pair of these Merrell Moab hiking shoes my husband has had, 2 pairs having been purchased recently. His first pair only now being relegated to walking the dog in dry weather having sprung a slight leak following very heavy rain fall. He wears them every day and they have been verbally approved by his Consultant, following recent foot surgery. They allow got a slightly wider fit and have a very good grip of all surfaces. They are extremely hard wearing and he has found them really comfortable, whether walking the dog or simply using for every day use. Making his purchase on desertcart has proved to be good value for money. They have proved to be a good fit for him, in his circumstances, and are of excellent quality. Would he recommend, most definitely.

I bought this exact pair from desertcart about two years ago. They were starting to get holes in the soles and generally fall apart so it was time to upgrade. But I walk in them literally every day for at least a couple of hours, and more at the weekend. So, I reckon I easily got about 500-600 hours of fairly hard/robust walking out of a pair. While two years seems like a quick turnaround for a pair of shoes, I feel the amount of use I got justifies the price. My go-to day to day walking shoe (and I walk a lot!).

**Q: Is the v3 waterproof?**
A: There's a Moab 3 Waterproof model that's about $30-40 more.

**Q: does this have tie laces?**
A: Yes this shoe has laces you tie.

**Q: how do they handly wet enxiroments,    Water Proof ????   can you hose off inside and outside ???**
A: So I bought these for my dad, a hiker. You can hose them off indoors or outdoors, however they will fade in under 6 months from the water & sun. He also miss the lawn in them, & they’re no worse for the wear. 

I buy my dad a new pair every 10-12 months; this is a very sturdy shoe for an average outdoorsman.

**Q: do these slip on?**
A: Not by design, however they are wide enough to just try it. I wouldn’t recommend this approach though, as it can damage the shoes in the long run.

Size 12 they fit like a glove. Comfortable while walking. I wear size 11 shoes normally, with hiking shoes I suggest you get a larger size.
