## Description

Product description

Review: Works like a charm - Use this to move a 13 foot travel trailer into and out of my garage, which is at a decent angle (~ 3% grade). It is not hard to install correctly and is quite secure - just follow the directions (watch a you tube video if you still don't understand). Makes easy work of moving, steering, and stopping. The brake function is easy to use and is secure - makes it easy to take a break and check the sides, as the clearance is pretty tight. Sometimes the drive wheel slips a bit when going uphill - I find that putting a little upward pressure on the brake/steering handle makes it grab pretty easy. Haven't tried out the drill bit attachment yet - the hand crank gets the job done. Very well built and sturdy - I expect many years (hopefully decades) of service from this neat little trailer dolly. Would definitely buy again.
Review: Too Good To Be True - It Doesn't Work - I was hoping this would help us more easily get our 23' wake boat into its storage area. We are able to get the boat perfectly lined up and partway in with the truck, before we run out of cranking room in the offset approach. All the Trailer Valet XL had to do was push the trailer straight back less than 10 feet on clean and flat pavement. It didn't work. The Trailer Valet XL had a hard time pushing or pulling the trailer on the flat pavement, and absolutely could not push the trailer wheels over a less than 1" ridge where the cement pad met the pavement. We tried everything - making sure the trailer brakes were locked out, purchasing a new corded high-torque drill, using the hand crank, etc. The tires would just slip on the pavement, the unit would bind up, etc. Even adding weight on the tongue didn't help. We ended up just pushing it by hand with a couple of people, no problem doing it by hand - I was just hoping the Trailer Valet would be a one person solution and remove the dependency on having people around. This brings us to the heart of the matter - the energy and time expended with the Trailer Valet XL is probably more than just doing it another way. If you can't do it by hand, it is unlikely that the Trailer Valet will be able to do it effectively either. The Trailer Valet XL might work on a small light trailer, but only on flat pavement, and nowhere near its rated capacity - it might hold something bigger, but it won't move it effectively based on my hours of trying to get it to work. Traction with the small rounded tires seems to be the biggest issue for heavier trailers, as well as some issues with ratcheting and binding every now and then inside the unit. It's a good thought, but like everything else that seems too good to be true, it fails in its implementation.

## Features

- Maximum Towing Capacity – Move trailers up to 10,000 lbs with tongue weights from 500–1,000 lbs using the 2-inch ball mount. Whether repositioning your RV, boat trailer, or enclosed hauler, this dolly offers the strength to handle large loads without the hassle of backing in a truck. On level, hard surfaces, the Trailer Valet XL provides safe, efficient towing and trailer placement by hand or with your power drill—no spotter or second vehicle required.
- Heavy-Duty Construction – Engineered with rugged steel, zinc-nickel plating, and a signature wrinkle black powder coating rated for 300 hours of corrosion resistance, the XL is built to last. Solid rubber tires offer a never-flat design for stability across pavement, gravel, or packed dirt. The included coupling plate keeps the XL snug against the coupler to minimize trailer sway or wiggle. Ideal for marine, industrial, or residential use.
- Versatile Operation – Switch between manual crank for detailed adjustments or power up with any 20–24V non-impact drill using the included TVDA adapter. The XL features dual gear ratios to let you choose between precision (low gear) or speed (high gear). One-handle steering and an automatic brake that activates when released, you have full control when positioning your trailer. Capable of pushing 60-80% capacity loads up a max suggested 5% incline. Do not pull the load with the Trailer Mover.
- Complete Package – Includes the Trailer Valet XL mover, 2-inch hitch ball, TVDA drill adapter, hand crank, spanner wrench, ball base, and coupling plate. Everything you need to start moving your trailer is in the box—no additional parts required. Compatible with other Trailer Valet hitch ball sizes (1-7/8 inch, 2-5/16 inch, 50mm – sold separately) for multi-trailer convenience.
- Easy Installation – Connect to any trailer coupler using the included 2-inch ball and be ready to move in minutes. The XL’s compact footprint and simple hook-up mean there’s no need for modifications or mounting brackets. For even more functionality, pair with the optional XL Mount Bracket (TVXLMB, sold separately) to side-mount the unit for vertical stowage or easier access in tight spaces.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it back the trailer up or just forward?**
A: The trailer valet will move the trailer both forward or backwards, depending on the direction of your drive effort. You can crank the valet handle in either direction. Just be aware that if you intend to push the trailer backwards that brakes on the trailer could inhibit movement in the backward direction. Hope this helps.

**Q: does this come with a stabilizer bracket that goes between the valet and the trailer jack?**
A: No. This is an extremely hard thing to use on a heavy trailer unless you are a weight lifter!!. We used it once, it collapsed because we could not hold it let alone wheel it on a flat paved road.

**Q: Can you change the ball size?**
A: Yes you can, but it is not just any ball. You can order it with either a 2" or a
2 5/16". You need to order the ball from the vendor. It's a special fit.

**Q: Does the trailer valet kit come with a ball locking wrench and the adapter to run it with your drill or do you have to buy these separate???**
A: It comes with everything needed the wrench the ball in the adapter for your drill

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ it does the job
*by A***R on November 16, 2022*

Keep in mind I have a 7400 pound camper. The good: 1. it does move the camper 2. it does work on inclines 3. the internal brake is great The annoyances: 1. the drill attachment does not move the camper at all. you have to use the crank and it is a workout. I have a dewalt 20V max drill 2. the internal brake can become annoying when using the crank because while using the crank my other arm will move low enough to engage the brake 3. while it does work on inclines i experienced multiple times when the dolly looses traction and the camper slides backwards. i got around this by having my spouse sit on the trailer hitch area and when that wasn't enough i stepped on the dolly itself and that got it the traction it needed to move the camper 4. i wasn't able to change the direction i was moving on the fly. for example after i was finished turning the camper 180 degrees i needed to start backing it up and i couldn't turn the dolly to be able to do that. i had to drop the trailer jack first, then adjust the dolly, then lower the camper back onto the dolly 5. this thing sucks on grass and dirt. put down plywood pieces and it's manageable 6. while the internal brake is great especially on inclines if you don't grab the crank first before releasing the brake the crank will spin very rapidly and it hurts to stop it. 7. i wish the crank handle was big enough for two hands. having that would have made going up my incline easier 8. if your camper is on dirt and it's sunk into the dirt even a little bit, the dolly will not move the camper even when the dolly is on plywood 9. even on asphalt if there is dirt or leaves underneath the wheel of the dolly it will loose traction and not move the camper
