She is a sax and cello player and was asked to buy a pickup to amplify her cello for gigs. Having read some reviews, I was delighted by the sound of this one. My daughter performed twice with it this weekend and the sound is excellent. The cello still sounds like a cello rather than some distorted 'other' voice. In addition, when playing pizzicato, the deep resonance is wonderful. It really is a high fidelity sound and for the price, a very good investment. The only heart stopping bit is having to lift the bridge to secure the pickups. I did it and survived.
