Review: Great quality!! - Prior to purchasing this comforter, I looked in stores in Germany and the USA as well as online. I couldn't justify paying the prices that were asked for premium heavyweight comforters, but I was worried that if I purchased a comforter online it would smell funny, poke me with feathers, etc. I took the plunge here because I figured I could return it if I hated it. When it arrived, it was vacuum packed and seemed quite heavy. I opened the package and the was NO SMELL at all, although the package indicated "down and feathers have a natural smell which will fade away once you have taken them out of the package and aired them for some time". I fully expected that it would have at least some odor, but I didn't notice any at all. Initially the comforter was pretty flat, although there was no clumping of the filling and it was very uniform. I shook it slightly and laid it over the bed knowing that it would likely puff up over time. When I returned to it a few hours later, it was still pretty flat so I just shook it in two or three large sections and it plumped up nicely. I was struck by the quality of the workmanship. The seams are tight, there are loops to connect it to the duvet cover, and there is no "dirt" or cotton shell in the fabric that is referred to in the description. The cotton fabric is actually quite smooth and doesn't make any weird crinkling sounds. I purchased a king size for my queen-size bed, since I hate the feeling of a cover that isn't quite big enough; I'm happy to report it nearly touches the floor on both sides of the bed. So far I've slept under it one night, and it was very warm with just a sheet between me and the comforter (I ordered a duvet cover, but it hasn't arrived yet). Overall, I am very impressed by the quality of this comforter. I had no such expectations at this price point. I would be purchasing another one for a Christmas gift, but the heavyweight/optimum warmth is not available. APSMILE, if you are reading this, please make more of these available!! In the second photo, I bought a duvet cover from another company but this comforter does have straps on each corner so you can tie the comforter in place inside any duvet cover. Its like clouds laying on top of me, just buyyyyy thissss NOW!
