The package says it’s only for outboards that do. Will this still work?** A: If you can’t tilt your motor it won’t work. If your motor won’t tilt there’s no need. If your motor tilts manual I believe you can lock it in place again no need for this product. What makes you think you need this product? **Q: will this fit on the square frame of the trailer? the ones i have seen fit on the roller on the back of the trailer** A: Yes it will, but you will need to drill a hole thru the frame to attach the bracket or you could weld the bracket, that is included for this type of setup. I have a 12ft boat with 15 hp. I had to modify this attwood transom saver by cutting off about 4" and drilled a new hole for the bolt. It was to long for my application. All set ups are different but this is how I made it work with my setup. Now it fits great.
