It will fit either side. It is the screw that holds it on that makes it right or left. One of the screws is reverse threaded. **Q: My originals have stripped. I'm going to get this but was wondering if any of you have found a permanent solution to prevent plastic from stripping?** A: Use Locktight to help keep the screws from loostening. I did this after having the same problem and having to replace one disc, after only 3-4 uses. I also used epoxy putty to repair the second disc along with locktight, and knock on wood, it's been fine for about a year now. I also spoke to the company, who replaced the first disk for free, and told them (submitted a "suggestion") that they needed a medal hub in the center of the disc's instead of plastic. **Q: Is this the right side if your standing behind or in front of spinwave?** A: Right side is when you’re standing behind the spinwave. I had to order a replacement right side plate that the pad goes on and that is the side that has the left hand thread screw. I had your same confusion when I was trying to order this part.
