## Description

3M Windo-Weld Round Ribbon Sealer is designed as one roll of sealer with setting blocks. We constructed this ribbon sealer with a unique feature of controlled compressability which allows for easy installation. This product will not squeeze out or allow light to contact pinchweld. This roll of sealer comes with a sufficient amount of material to replace one windshield or backlite.

Review: Worked great on my 98 Ford Ranger (Rear window) - After finding a youtube video, I went ahead and ordered this size (3/8in) of the windo-weld to fix my leaky rear window on my 98 Ford Ranger. It had been leaking for a long time, and it had been sitting at the previous owner's house, and that had caused surface rust on all the interior metal pieces and several interior electrical issues that were expensive to fix. Ordered this product, it came and I got to work on the truck. My truck is the single cab with the three piece sliding rear window, and this worked great for it. I put the windo-weld in the freezer before working with it, and didn't take it out until I had removed all of the old seal from my window. I then put it on, which was much easier with it cold than with it warm (takes the stickiness out of it temporarily). Then, after warming it up I put it back in the truck, tightened up the window bolts slowly, and left the truck in the sun for about an hour. After letting it sit I further tightened it until they were snug. I also made sure to push the window into the frame from the back periodically, which aided in closing the weatherstripping gap. I installed it in July of 2021 and it's now February of 2022, and I can successfully report that it has stayed weathertight for over 6 months now. I definitely recommend this product, especially for us 90s Ford guys that got screwed from the factory on these windows! It seems like other customers had issues with the shipping/condition of the product when received, I personally did not experience that and it came in new condition. My only grievance is that the box itself that the weatherstrip comes in had a little window in the front for you to feel the product through, just seemed weird to me. Seems like dust and other stuff could get in there and potentially contaminate the weatherstripping. Anyways, I had some left over and wrapped in a plastic bag for future use.

**Q: Can this be used to replace a convertible top rear glass?**
A: Looked at the ribbon and it do not appear to be what I needed. I used the material in the tube about 1 year ago to replace rear window in Miata. Still appears to be holding fine Application went well but took two people.One to hold glass, one to apply goop. Cautions - it is VERY sticky - wear rubber gloves. I was not too successful in smoothing it out after applying it. Use care and it will look ok. You may do some experimenting first and look at some you tube video. I used the recommended primer on the glass

**Q: how can this be both round and 1/8 x 1/4"?**
A: Difficult question to answer...I just looked at mine and it appears to be apprxly 1/4 inch "round" x 30 feet to start, but it is squished in many spots that appear to be apprxly 1/8 inch in depth and no longer "round"; it could be squished more or less depending on what you need.  Not sure this will help, but maybe!

**Q: How thick is it? I need a 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick by at least 1/2 wide and at least 20 feet long.**
A: 1/4" round, it gets wider if you press it flat. It is clearly labeled 1/4" by 15 feet . . so NOT 20 feet long.

**Q: Would this work on a 2007 Saturn Ion?**
A: Thank you for your question.  We suggest using the same type of adhesive your vehicle manufacture uses to install a windshield or a suggested adhesive from the manufacture.  In this case, your vehicle should use a urethane adhesive such as 3M 08609 Window-Weld Super Fast Urethane Black Cartridge. Worked great!
