First of all, for 45 bucks you would expect something more durable. My puppy is not a chewer, but in his attempts to get comfortable scratched some holes into the NYLON cover. Second, I am not sure if there was supposed to be some refrigeration or not, the directions were very unclear. It never felt very "cool" no cooler than hardwood floors or a bathroom floor, which my dog still preferred over this mat. So back to Amazon, it goes. I gave this a try and it saved the day (or night, rather.) I don’t know how it stays so cold but it does an amazing job. Because of this he can sleep about 7 hours at night and he’s only 3.5 months old. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cool and comfy but not shark proof *by T***C on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2018* This seemed to work pretty well and the cover did its best to resist my 6 mo old German Shepherd's chewing, but in the end, the dog won and chewed a hole in the cover. The cooling gel DID NOT leak all over the place, and more importantly, did not make my dog sick.
