The wells for the cupcakes hold them securely and the finger slots are great for keeping fingers clean. I've also used it without the cupcake trays for taller cakes. It's a little short to accommodate cupcake toppers so I just add them when I get to my destination. The cupcake trays are easy to put together and the collapsible lid is great for storing. The latches for the lid are very secure but I always carry from the bottom just to be safe! Works perfectly and I would definitely buy again!

**Q: Will this hold a 13 or 14 inch diameter ice cream cake?**
A: I would think Yes. Cake surface area is 14-1/4 inches. Dome is afull 4 inches  high before sides start to decease

**Q: Can this be placed in a freezer to store baked goods?**
A: Only if your freezer is huge. The diameter of the bottom part of this product is almost 16". Good quality if you have the space!

**Q: Can you also use this when collapsed to carry a shorter cake or will the act of carrying/lifting by the handle pop it up to full size?**
A: It is kind of tough to get it to full size.  I'm pretty sure you could put small cake in it.  Also, this thing is HUGE!!! The pictures don't do it justice.
