A: Yes, it includes the additional tube to extend. It will be better to fill filter case completely with water before it starts. Otherwise, it will take some time to pump water up. (Water must at least cover the motor.)

**Q: What if the filter doesn't start or makes a mechanical noise?**
A: Try to turn the impeller by hand. Check to see if something is jammed in the impeller. Rinse impeller and filter to remove blockage. Then verify free rotation and priming. Then verify the impeller is free to rotate, and the filter primes correctly.

**Q: After a powerout, will this filter restart on its own?**
A: Yes, the motor will restart by itself once the power turns on.

**Q: Can I use this in a turtle tank?**
A: It is not recommended for turtle tanks.

**Q: Does this filter fit on a framed aquarium?**
A: Yes, you need to gently pull the intake tube to hang on your framed aquarium. The width between intake tube and housing is 0.4 in.
