A: I believe a 12 year old should be in a larger drum set, this set is high quality but very small. I purchased it for a 3 year old. It fits him perfectly. It would be small for a 12 year old.

My three year old has been desperate for his own drum set so I got him this. He absolutely loves them and they are small enough for him to play properly. They make a surprisingly loud noise like a real drum set and seem pretty robust
