The brushed system is plenty on 2s Lipos, but I swapped it out for the VXL upgrade, and this thing HAULS! My favorite thing about this 1/16th platform, is the ability to change its purpose. With some extra parts, you can turn it into the 1/16 Erevo/slash or monster truck. Out if the box, it does need some upgrades, to be more reliable on 2s Lipos. -shim the front and rear diff -center diff upgrade Other than that, I reccomend upgrading parts as things break. Depending on how high you jump, and how rough you bash, will determine how many repairs you will be doing! Those 2 broke down quickly and could not be repaired. Two of the reasons for buying the Traxxas 1/16 Summit was replacing parts when they broke and it has waterproof components. Have already had to replace parts on the 1/16 Summit, but it is fun RC that is fast. Skate board parks are fun to for quick runs when there are not many people around. Skip the cheap sub-$100 RC monster trucks that you find around Christmas time and buy something better that will last. And where did i get 2 of them** A: The stock Summit 1/16 can only use a 2-cell 2820X or two 2925X in parallel (more run time). If you upgrade to the Velineon brushless system, you can use the 2925X in series (more speed) as well a 3-cell 2823X. **Q: Can i change from nimh batteries to lipo?** A: Sure, just remember to activate the low-voltage warning on your ESC. You can only use 2-cell LiPos unless you upgrade to brushless. **Q: Can you run 2 of the 2820x batteries?** A: You could in parallel which gives you longer run time but cannot run in series that would most likely burn out the esc. But I wouldn’t use traxxas batteries over priced I swapped my id connector for xt60 and run ovonics now. **Q: can you charge a 2s LiPo battery included with the charger?** A: Absolutely not! The supplied charger is a NiMH-only charger.
