It's great for holding my tablet up in a position for me to either watch TV on it (at which times I prefer it in landscape position) or read on it hands-free (at which times I prefer it in portrait position). And even where holding up open physical books are concerned ---- even that it, it's still better than anything else I've tried. (And I've tried a fair number of bookstands in my days.)
