**Q: Do these leave black scuff floor marks if you try ?**
A: I have never noticed any scuff marks

**Q: Do these offer protection from the rain?**
A: It states waterproof. Rain may get in from the ankle area but it is understandable.  I have wear it many times. Loved it.

**Q: is the in sole removeable?**
A: I did not remove mine before I returned them (too big & hard to tighten shoe laces). All my previous Hi-Tecs were removeable.
