It’s curve and sharpness makes it perfect for cutting shallow finds out of grass and soil without doing damage to a yard. Very well made and quite sturdy. At the same time it is not near as heavy as it might appear. The depth markings on the edges are also perfect for logging information about items found (depth). I would certainly recommend this knife to other metal detection hobbiest.
