I bought it for my mom for her birthday who loves her coffee and loves to take photos of her coffee cup as well as us/her anytime any of us are having coffee, hehe. She also happens to have been born on June 10th which is a significant date for the author, so I thought that was an endearing and meaningful coincidence. My mom LOVES this book! Really nice photos, a mix of quotes and tidbits about taking photos/approaching life. Adorable animal pics and a nice variety while also staying on theme and being cohesive, without being full of too much advice or text, etc. The backstory is very touching and gives the book a well-rounded, bittersweet but ultimately very uplifting tone. The quality is soft and readable and the photos look great even though it's not super high-glossy pages. Which you don't need, the heart and simplicity of this book is lovely. It definitely made me want to have a coffee, take a walk in nature, pet my cats and get a dog!!It inspired me and everyone who looked at it, especially my mom who sat and really enjoyed it for a while then says I should buy one for my aunt, as well! She makes her own books too so I know she will come up with her own version in no time, haha.
