If oedaema (swelling of ankles and legs) is also evident, this confirms a kidney problem. Medical help is required ASAP. **Q: How do you use the strips? are you meant to leave the strip in the urine for 60 seconds or just pee on it and wait?** A: The manufacturers recommend that the strip is immersed for no more than 2 secs, the surplus urine removed by tapping the edge on absorbent paper and the colour read after exactly 60secs.
