If you did the above and still have low humidity, you will have to ask NEEDONE or return the unit. I have over 230 cigars and the water tank is full with the propylene glycol and distilled water mixture. I set my unit at 74F and the humidity is 73%. **Q: Will it work in a room that’s between 72 and 68 degrees to keep inside temperature at a constant 70 degrees or will it get cooler because room temp?** A: Hi~ The temperature control of this cabinet is limited by semiconductor technology. Semiconductor cooling is influenced by the ambient temperature, and in order to maintain a stable temperature within the adjustable range, certain requirements must be met regarding the ambient temperature. This cigar cabinet can control temperatures within the range of 54°F to 74°F. Since it has a heating function, it is recommended to operate it within an ambient temperature range of 41°F to 78°F. By using it within this temperature range, you can maintain the internal temperature at the desired setting, such as 70°F. Hope it would help you.
