The Black Vidaflex SD550 is a premium silicone-coated fiberglass sleeving designed for high-temperature electrical insulation. Rated for continuous use at 180°C and short bursts up to 250°C, it offers 4.0kV electric strength and superior resistance to oils, chemicals, and mechanical wear. Perfect for protecting cables in demanding environments like vehicle wiring harnesses, heating appliances, and industrial equipment.

## Description

The Vidaflex SD550 grades display a high degree of flexibility over the temperature range -60°C to +250°C and will operate continuously at 180°C with a short term rating of 250°C. The high-quality sleeving is made from braided fibreglass and coated with a compound silicone rubber, It's non-fraying and has excellent resistance to oils, fluids and aggressive chemical agents. It has extensive use in high temperature rated domestic appliances, heating appliances and central heating boilers and their is also use for primary and secondary insulation for the protection of cables and components in high heat zones. These sleevings are used for all types of high temperature rated electrical equipment and appliances as primary insulation or as secondary reinforcing and protection for conductors in high heat zones and in areas of likely mechanical damage. These sleeves are widely used as cable protection sleevings in vehicle wiring harnesses.
