Really. The skin is fine, but the hair itself feels like taking a pair of pliers, grabbing a bit of beard, and punching out fast to rip it out, then repeating on the hairs the slipped the first time. There will be tears. You can't go fast to just get it over with. The pain will puff your face a little a few hours. Then you are awesomely smooth with no shadow, and it can last for days longer. Probably not worth it for most. I don't know what the directions say about it. I recommend the generic advice of exfoliate and moisturize a day before, use it wet, and keep skin pulled tight.
