Review: the first and most useful part of the machine is where it fits into ... - I've had the Razorri P8800-MS vacuum sealer for a little over a month now and I cannot express how much it has helped me in the kitchen, on so many levels. As a recipe developer, the first and most useful part of the machine is where it fits into the cooking process. So far, it has been primarily used as the first step in the Sous Vide process - with it's tight seal, I've packaged pork belly, chicken thighs, steaks and roasts with herbs, spices and oil together, ready for sous vide goodness. It gets a far better seal than the immersion method can manage with ziplock bags, and you're able to fully immerse the bag in the water. You don't have to worry about leaks. The next thing its been great for is marinating and infusing - I've recently made a garlic infused olive oil. With the machine's combinations you can seal liquids, juicy meats with their marinades, or pickle... pretty much anything! It's powerful and quick to suck out the air, but also creates a tight seal. The device comes with bags too, some premade, and another on a roll, which can handily be stored in the device, and cut to any length using the inbuilt cutting tool. The next area where it's really useful is with sealing and resealing food to be stored for freezing or when you want to section things out - this has been super helpful in making sure things stay fresh and don't go to waste. I've used mine to store chicken thighs for the week, keeping fresh, or sticking them in the sous vide machine at a pinch for crispy chicken thighs, or resealing the smoked sausages I got over christmas! The Razzori vacuum sealer is pretty much what you make it - it does it's job well, but it does it even better when you incorporate it into your lifestyle - it saves you time and money by not wasting food, allows you to be creative in the kitchen by trying techniques easily, like pickling, marinating and brining, and if you're into sous vide, its a no-brainer. I highly recommend this product!!!
Review: You get what you pay for - Not as efficient as a much more expensive one I bought three years ago ... then again, that one conked out after very light use. This one doesn't like anything lumpy (like a bag of irregular sized sweetcorn cobs) and when it says press on the sides it appears it does actually mean press down with your hands as opposed to pressing buttons. It seems happier with the bags provided than with the rolls, and to dislike wider rolls even though it's supposed to be able to cope with them. All in all a bit underwhelming.

I've had the Razorri P8800-MS vacuum sealer for a little over a month now and I cannot express how much it has helped me in the kitchen, on so many levels. It is first time when I am using this and I am pleasently surprised by how easy is to set up and how useful is around the kitchen! I am vacuum selling every piece of food I put in the refrigerator now because it last much more. This is perfect for a busy mom like me because I stock up with food for my family for a week every time and as it always happens at the end of the week every piece of fruit or vegetable goes to waste because it is not good anymore! With this vacuum I solved the problem! Now I even have food left for next week. I also use it for the meet that goes into the freezer because it is so much better!
