Using a dog guard ensures the driver is complying with highway code traveling with animals (rule 57). These dog guards should not be confused with the cheaper ones available as this use a nice thick 6mm steel mesh. Review: Pleasantly surprised! - I normally buy a dog guard made specifically for my car but this time I couldn’t get one to fit where I wanted it to. I have a Peugeot Partner Teepee and I wanted a guard to fit behind my front seats as I planned to remove my rear seats to make the car into a can. If you’re wondering why I didn’t buy the van version I will tell you. The tax on the van is £320, whereas it’s only £180 on the Teepee version. I also prefer the viability of the car version and I can insure it as a car rather than commercial insurance. Anyway back to the dog guard. It is very fiddly to fit and definitely a 2 person job. There was a fixing missing but the companies customer service is excellent! The missing parts arrived the next day. The guard fits to the headrest and as long as you tighten it properly it fits really securely. I would have liked the section that goes between the front seats to be longer but as long as the dogs are secured by their harnesses it won’t be a problem. I will be totally honest I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed and half expected to have to return the item. It’s a 10/10 from me.

**Q: Will it fit a Ssangyong Rexton**
A: We have 3 sizes of guard available, all 3 are adjustable and will fit all types of car. To find out which is the most suitable size for you, measure across the top of the seats be it front (with a panel) or back seats depending on where you want the guard to be fitted.

**Q: Would I be able to fit my hand through the bars as I need to put my dogs lead on from the rear passenger seats?**
A: Unless you have small hands, they won't likely fit through the mesh.
However, depending on you car, and the shape of the roof and or pillars, you may get past by the top or sides. I couldn't do this, so got my daughter to help.

**Q: looking for a front seat guard for a focus hatchback, thinking medium & front panel, anyone tried this?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent piece of kit.

Not a bad piece of kit - easy to fit and good quality. Only slight problem is the centre piece is not long enough for my car (Honda Jazz) as it leaves a gap at the bottom which my Patterdale Terrier can easily get through. Not a huge problem though as the gap is easy enough to block off. If the centre piece been longer I would have given it 5 stars.
