The heat is so incredibly relaxing, especially in the winter, and while the stones can feel a bit hard when you put the mat on the floor, it comes with a padded cover. I use it without the cover so I can access the lights, occasionally I'll throw a yoga blanket down if I'm doing kneeling poses. However, this thing is definitely heavy.
