The light tells you when to release the lever and I was able to successfully seal 300 pops. As directed, start at a low temp and work your way up if need be but for most plastics, level 2-3 will work. It doesn’t take much time to heat up and it’s not hot to the touch. Each seal took 1-2 seconds, and it worked well with liquids! The seller was very prompt with answering a question as well.
