I can't recommend this keyboard enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bargain, customizable exploded 75% keyboard with VIA/VIAL support. *by J***Y on February 9, 2024* I wanted to try out a 75% keyboard as an alternative to a the TKL boards I have been using. And while I was looking at Keychron V1, I wound up purchasing this instead. I've had some experience with Gamakay switches, and (like Gamakay switches) expected this to be better than the price indicated. It is. The black case is plastic and has some flex, but you're probably not going to be trying to twist the keyboard when it's on your desk. It ships with a gasket mounted PC plate and a spare aluminum plate that can also be gasket mounted. Or you can top mount the plate if that's your thing. The knob is a friction fit 6mm D-shaft so you can replace it with many similar knobs. It ships in wireless mode. To switch to USB, plug it in, hold FN and press 5. Annoyingly you have to do that every time you want to switch back to wired connection after using it wirelessly. I haven't had any issues with the wireless connection, and there is a nice pocket on the back for the wireless receiver dongle. LED backlight is south facing, so you can use Cherry keycaps without interference issues and the backlight LEDs are borderline painful at full brightness. I don't hear any buzzing when the brightness is turned down. Interestingly while adjusting brightness, the keyboard reduces LED saturation for a moment, then brings it back to where you expect. The PC plate is nicely frosted to help LED diffusion, and the plate foam is white to assist with that as well. Stabilizers are screw in, PCB mounted and appear to be made from clear nylon. They were lightly lubed with only the spacebar stabilizers making some noise that made me add some additional lube to them. VIA and VIAL work well once you sideload the .JSON from Gamakay's website. If you're using VIA 3.x, make sure you enable "Use V2 Definitions" before loading the .JSON. The Good: - Bargain priced for what you get. - VIA and VIAL support. - 2 different plates and the option to gasket or top mount. - Included stabilizers are perfectly adequate. - Knob. - Wireless dongle storage in keyboard. - LED diffusion. The Bad: - Some case flex. - Annoying keystroke to change back to USB after wireless mode. But they DO indicate that you should press 5 when holding FN. The Meh: - Some of the RGB modes are ...
