I tried brushing it thoroughly like the video on Youtube suggests but my hair still felt unnatural. I bought a travel size to try it out so I'm not sure I'll buy it again. It is easy to use and didn't coat my bathroom sink or shoulders because I was careful when spraying it, and it actually was less messy and gave better coverage then the hair fiber products I've used. If you use hairspray regularly then this product isn't going to be a problem and you will get more than adequate coverage of the thin spots.
