It will eliminate the need to inspect the dishes in the dishwasher, or anything else (washer? dryer?). The uses are endless.It's great that it has a soft magnetic strip on the back that will not damage your appliance's finish, and also comes with an adhesive velcro for those application to a non-ferrous surface.Easy to slide, sticks great. I checked out dozens of these on both Amazon and eBay and this particular style is the easiest to read. The fact is, with the red (dirty) and green (clean) colored backgrounds you really don't even need the type.Until I purchased this my wife & I were constantly doing dishwasher-detective work, trying to decide if the dishes inside were wet or dry, dirty or clean.
