A: 1. If you have 3.5mm audio jacks on your computer use that. The sound quality is certainly not better than the on board audio on your computer.

2. Yes. I plugged it into a USB port, windows found it right away, installed drivers and all I had to do was choose it as the default audio device.

A: It's not working for mine

**Q: Will it work with a sony f-v610 mic and a macbook air 2019?**
A: If the mic has a 3.5mm output that connects to this adapter, it should work fine. I've not had any issue with any mic I've connected and also outputs from mixer boards. With an Apple laptop these devices are pretty much plug and play. I have the MacBook Pro 2018 and it just works

Anyone that has a recent MacBook "Pro" will know that it is poorly supported with I/O connections. I'm gonna say it: USB-C sucks. But I'm committed now so away to Amazon for another 'dongle', just to get some standard functionality back to my 'high-end' purchase. This little box does what I needed it to do, without any hassle. Plugged it in, connected a Sound Board output and was recording audio into Audacity in no time. Straightforward and works as expected.
