They are expensive but worth every penny as there is nothing else like this on the market and are helping him get back on his feet. Thank you for inventing this ingenious product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are in a situation that requires their use, I believe these are well worth it *by 4***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2016* Ordered these for a surgery that kept me laid up for an extended period. I have very sensitive skin that bruises and stresses very easily and this product sounded like a wise preventative. I also have to wear ankle braces when I am able to get up and move around in my wheelchair to prevent dislocations during transfers. The braces do a good job, but they irritate and sometimes rub to the point of causing blisters.I used these socks after day three of post-op; after they removal of the anti-blood clot inflation leggings. While in bed they do a good job of reducing friction and allowing free movement without rubbing sensitive skin raw. At certain points, I wore socks under these for additional warmth and that worked well also.I would not recommend getting out of bed and walking with these unless you are wearing slippers or some other form of shoe. The slippery material can make hard floors difficult.I used them under my ankle braces, and they did work well. My braces are not overly tight, so the seams did not create issues or blisters.The fit of the socks is slightly loose around the ankle to allow for swelling, with a reinforced heel pad for durability. The upper cuff is thick and soft, allowing it to stay in place without drooping or leaving marks when my calf swelled.I found these socks to be useful, comfortable, and easy to care for. They did take a little getting used to, as the fit is different from a regular sock, but once adjusted I forgot I was wearing them. I think these would do well for a person with sensitive skin like mine, or with a condition such as diabetes where skin sores can be life-threatening. I do believe they would help reduce bed sores in the foot and ankle area for someone confined to bed for extended periods.The material is of good quality and held up to repeated washing without loss of color or fit. The seams are double sewn to help prevent rubbing and blistering. The fit is designed to allow for a small amount of swelling without causing binding marks. The heel is reinforced to allow for extra durability. The price is a little high, but if you are in a situation that requires their use, I believe it is well worth it.I wear a size 8.5 US woman's shoe and ordered these in a medium.
