I had 2 SQUEAKY DOORS in my apmt that were so loud, I was worried it would wake up the neighbors! Also a squeaky medicine cabinet. All had metal RUSTED hinges. :( I applied the product. It didn't immediately work--I needed to put a little more onto it. I worked it in with a paper towel. I did not remove the pin or take the hinges off (which maybe would work better if you're more ambitious than me!)...I just gooped some directly onto the hinge--and put it on the top and bottom of the hinges, wiping off the excess. It seemed to take a while for it to sink in. Day 1 I thought maybe it had failed as it still SQUEAKED. By the end of the day (and after applying a little bit more) IT WORKED!!! THE 2 DOORS AND MEDICINE CABINET DO NOT SQUEAK NOW. I'm not very good at handling tasks like this and even I could figure it out. I would say, don't get this on your skin, just in case it could have any chemicals in it. I wore some disposable gloves just in case. There's a lot left in the tube, and it was a GOOD price. So I am happy with this, thank you. NO MORE SQUEAKING! YAY!
