Love the shape, color, and no noise when in motion. - We absolutely LOVE this fan. It is easy to install for someone who is used to working with electrical wires and hardware. The fan blades are beautifully made and there is almost zero noise when in motion. I would make sure to measure for the size of your fan blades. We originally ordered a 60" fan for our open air living room at a previous home and it was perfect. For our new house, we ordered the 70" (no light) and thought our master bedroom with high ceilings could hold the size. (note: we have a larger bedroom with high ceilings and the fan works but the 70" is a touch too big.) The 70" would be wonderful in a larger/open air room with high ceilings. We ended up ordering a 12 inch extension rod to give the blades extra space from the slanted ceiling. I would still HIGHLY recommend this product. It is very much worth the cost. High quality for sure. It is almost like a 'piece of furniture' all by itself. Review: Low RPM - It's bold, beautiful and absolutely silent. Perfect to watch TV to in the living room. I have a 52 inch palm tree fan in my bedroom. They both put out about the same amount of air. But, I intentionally want some noise in my bed room while I sleep. ## Features - MAVERICK OUTDOOR CEILING FAN DIMENSIONS: Diameter: 70"; Height: 13.7" (From Ceiling to Bottom of Fan Housing, Includes 6" Downrod); Weight 11.68lbs. - FAN BLADES: 3 Outdoor Approved Dark Walnut Blades (70" Span / 13° Blade Pitch); CFM: 9018 - FAN CONTROL: Includes 6-Speed FAN CONTROL: Includes 6-Speed Hand-Held Remote Control with Reversing Function-Held Remote Control with Reversing Function - INSTALLATION: Installable on Flat Ceiling with Included Hardware; UL & ULC Approved for DAMP Locations - DETAILS: Matte Black Finish; Premium Power Energy-Efficient 85 X 28 mm DC Motor and Precision Balanced Blades for Quiet and Wobble-Free Operation ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01HN1WMSG | | Air Flow Capacity | 9018 cfm | | Best Sellers Rank | #832,690 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #5,877 in Ceiling Fans | | Blade Length | 70 inches | | Blade Material | Wood | | Brand | Monte Carlo | | Brand Name | Monte Carlo | | Collection Name | Maverick Max | | Color | Matte Black-Dark Walnut Blades | | Control Method | Remote | | Controller Type | Remote Control | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 133 Reviews | | Downrod Length | 6 inches | | Electric Fan Design | Ceiling Fan | | Electric fan design | Ceiling Fan | | Finish Type | Finished | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00014817567540 | | Included Components | Modern Ceiling Fan | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Installation Type | Flat Ceiling | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 70"D x 70"W x 10"H | | Item Weight | 12 pounds | | Main Power Connector Type | NEMA 5-15 (120V) or NEMA 5-20 (240V) | | Manufacturer | Monte Carlo | | Material | Wood | | Model Name | Maverick Max | | Model Number | 3MAVR70BK | | Motor Type | DC | | Mounting Type | Protruding | | Number of Blades | 3 | | Number of Power Levels | 6 | | Number of Speeds | 6 | | Part Number | 3MAVR70BK | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Product Dimensions | 70"D x 70"W x 10"H | | Recommended Uses For Product | Outdoor | | Reusability | [LO] | | Room Type | Bedroom, Dining Room, Living Room | | Size | 70-Inch | | Special Features | Remote Control | | Specification Met | Energy Star | | Style | Modern | | Theme | Modern | | UPC | 014817567540 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 120 volts | | Warranty Description | Limited lifetime warranty. | | Wattage | 25 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Monte Carlo - **Color:** Matte Black-Dark Walnut Blades - **Electric fan design:** Ceiling Fan - **Power Source:** corded-electric - **Style:** Modern - **Product Dimensions:** 70"D x 70"W x 10"H - **Room Type:** Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room - **Special Feature:** Remote - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Outdoor - **Wattage:** 25.00 ## Images ![Monte Carlo 3MAVR70BK Maverick Max Energy Star 70'' Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Remote Control, 3 Balsa Wood Blades, Matte Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31BZbxZdIzL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the difference between KOA blades & dark walnut blades?** A: The answer above is not correct, it seems ALL the various blades of this fan are made of balsa and painted including the koa. They are very easily scratched. If you are careful and dont scratch them the Koa is very nice looking with dark and light colors. **Q: can this fan be installed on a slightly sloped ceiling?** A: According to the instructions, you can install this on a ceiling that is sloped up to 15 degrees. That tidbit is buried in the notes of one step in the installation process and not called out anywhere else. However, the ball mount assembly provided will actually work up to about 30 degrees, it's just that the trim piece will start blocking the rod past the 15 degrees. I had an optional ceiling mount on hand, but opted to cut a notch into the provided trim piece to allow the rod to hang properly from a 26 degree ceiling. There is a circular rubber trim piece, inside the rod hole in the ceiling trim piece that has enough extra material on the inside of the trim to keep it looking fairly decent, even at close visual range. My installation was on a 21' ceiling, so it's pretty difficult to see the modification I made from the main floor. Obviously, you need to plan very carefully if you're going to take this approach. I'll post a few pictures with my review when I get a chance. Also, as another poster noted, there's very little room for the remote receiver module, regardless of the angle of your ceiling. You need to be able to maneuver the wire feeding the fan (coming through the ceiling) out of the way to get the remote receiver to fit properly. **Q: Does the fan come with a down rod?** A: yes it comes with a 6" downrod but the wires are long enough to use a much longer one if you desire. **Q: Looking at a 60" or 70" for the great room in a new house. These fans are only showing around 250 cfm of air flow. Is that correct?** A: I can't measure airflow, but I can comment on the aesthetic. We replaced a 60" 5-blade fan with this 60" 3-blade fan. It is so lean that it could've used the extra mass of the additional 5" per blade. It is a great looking fan, super quiet. My regret is not buying the larger model. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful product. There was one point where the directions were a little vague- but we figured it out on our own. Very quiet & yet powerful. Multi- speeds and love the reverse feature using the remote— wow. Our fan is high up and still have on medium high speed. ## Frequently Bought Together - Monte Carlo 3MAVR70BK Maverick Max Energy Star 70'' Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Remote Control, 3 Balsa Wood Blades, Matte Black - Monte Carlo DR72BK Traditional Downrod Collection in Black Finish, 72.00 inches, See Image --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/58217392-monte-carlo-3mavr70bk-maverick-max-energy-star-70-outdoor-ceiling](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/58217392-monte-carlo-3mavr70bk-maverick-max-energy-star-70-outdoor-ceiling) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
