You could also try and dab some through the actual holder bit. The two holders were very easy to install onto a clean, dry surface and the adhesion properties of the foam backing was excellent. Although both holders held the towels in place, their low profile made it necessary to ensure that sufficient material of the hand towel was pushed into the holder to secure it. I found that Just to push the hand towel lightly into the cross-cut, plastic gripper (until your finger made contact with the back of the holder) wasn't quite enough for the relatively heavy material.
