Buy the cheaper one with "diamond" tips ... which are coated with diamond dust and work fairly well. **Q: What is the largest hole size you can ream with this? I need to ream 3mm diameter holes in a large quantity of stone beads.** A: HI,,,3mm is pretty big, and I dont have any experience using the reamer for anything other than enlarging existing holes in genuine, not glass, pearls. Why not investigate getting a cordless drill from the hardware store that is designed to take small drill bits. I have one that I use for mother of pearl pieces that come with no holes. If you zoom in on the picture of the product, the lower right hand side, the tip is metal and there is black rubber on the part that gets inserted into the mechanical part of the reamer.
