I also have a couple multimeters to match both of them up with. This reads the voltage to the tenths of a volt on the tester itself, but to the hundredths on the app. It's accurate more than accurate enough, a bit of fluctuation in the hundredths between all my testers, but that isn't uncommon. First, this will actually drop the voltage during testing, quite a bit if the battery isn't very good. Can't say that of my old OTC. This will not give a read out of the cranking or cold cranking amps, my OTC will. How accurate is it? Who knows, but it hasn't let me down in 15 years. Now, here's where things get complicated. My old OTC will give one battery I have a pass, where as this tester fails it under a load. I trust this tester due to the drop in voltage (I didn't save the test or I would have the numbers and would post the picture) seen when testing it. It's a small battery that sat a long time, although it holds a charge just fine and the voltage is also fine at 12.6v. Overall, I'm impressed. This cost me about $20 on sale and I'm glad I jumped on it. I have other batteries I plan on testing with it, one had been sitting on the charger (just floating, already fully charged) for a while and needs to rest before I test it. Oh, and the app is very easy to use. I haven't used all of the features, but I intend to make a point to. I think this will work great and would be a great addition for any level of tech that picks it up for their home or shop toolbox or emergency tool kit.
