Review: 12 years in service before I needed a new one. - I purchased this item in June 2014. It provided awesome support for paper towels until July 2026, when one of the plastic connectors broke. 12 years of reliable service makes it money well spent. I immediately ordered the 2026 model. Review: Tension Arm works Great, Nice finish, Highly Recommended - I purchased this to replace a similar one (not simplehuman brand) that broke after only a few months of use. In fact, several other models I have purchased in the past have been disappointing. After several months of use, this one remains in perfect condition. The grip (tension arm) is very strong and I can tear individual sheets at a time without pulling the entire roll. The base is heavy so the holder does not move and shift around when using it. The design is sleek and modern and the stainless steel is not too shiny. It's a nice finish. It is exposed to constant water and moisture and has not rusted at all. Highly recommended. It looks and works just as described. I also really like the top loop finger hold for easy carrying and moving around the kitchen where you are cooking/cleaning. Highly recommended. ## Features - ONE AT A TIME - The variable tension arm provides just enough resistance to tear off one sheet at a time with just one hand. - HEAVY-DUTY WEIGHTED BASE - Weighted stainless steel base keeps the dispenser steady. - FINGER LOOP - Makes the holder easy to pick up and move. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00814IE4G | | Best Sellers Rank | #202,464 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #1,020 in Paper Towel Holders | | Brand | simplehuman | | Brand Name | simplehuman | | Color | Brass, Brushed Matte Black, Brushed Stainless Steel, White | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 9,392 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00838810015484 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 7.4"L x 8.2"W | | Item Type Name | paper towel holder | | Item Weight | 1 kg | | Manufacturer | simplehuman | | Manufacturer Part Number | KT1161 | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | KT1161 | | Mounting Type | Tension Arm | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 7.4"L x 8.2"W | | Size | Paper Towel Holder | | UPC | 838810015484 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** simplehuman - **Color:** Brass, Brushed Matte Black, Brushed Stainless Steel, White - **Item Weight:** 1 kg - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Mounting Type:** Tension Arm - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 7.4"L x 8.2"W - **Size:** Paper Towel Holder - **UPC:** 838810015484 - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![simplehuman Tension Arm Standing Paper Towel Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Q3L6Qh7hL.jpg) ![simplehuman Tension Arm Standing Paper Towel Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81GVSFseqsL.jpg) ![simplehuman Tension Arm Standing Paper Towel Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81JQgCIEToL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is the base heavy enough so that it does not move if using with one hand?** A: No. The base has a slide-resistant coating so that you can use the holder with one hand -- initially. Over time, the base has gotten slick. **Q: Is this brushed or polished?** A: Hi The paper towel holder is not polished. I would say it is brushed. This is my second one and I love it!Hope this helps **Q: What is the bottom of the base made of? We currently have a stainless steel towel holder that rusts. Thank you!** A: It has a stainless steel base the bottom of which is black plastic with rubber nubs to make it non slip **Q: How much does this weigh?** A: 2.7 lbs Very nice paper towel holder. And looks great to! Rick ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 12 years in service before I needed a new one. *by T***E on July 20, 2026* I purchased this item in June 2014. Has a wonderful tension arm that allows you to rip the paper towel to your desired length. It’s so good and works perfectly that I have purchased two of them. One was purchased a few years ago. The other one was purchased just recently. My neighbor loved it so much I gave it to her. Definitely worth the price if you don’t have a wall-mounted dispenser. Works great on the porch and in the backyard eating at the picnic table. Easy cleanup if it gets dirty because it’s made of stainless steel. All I do is use some stainless steel polish and it looks brand new. Excellent for a housewarming gift or a Wedding gift definitely a kitchen essential. ## Frequently Bought Together - simplehuman Tension Arm Standing Paper Towel Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel - simplehuman Quick Grip Napkin Holder, Stainless Steel, Brushed - simplehuman Kitchen Dish Drying Rack with Swivel Spout, Fingerprint-Proof Stainless Steel Frame, Grey Plastic --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/582606-simplehuman-tension-arm-standing-paper-towel-holder-brushed-stainless-steel](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/582606-simplehuman-tension-arm-standing-paper-towel-holder-brushed-stainless-steel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
