Had to use it the week after I bought it - my radiator exploded on the trail, and my buddy had to tow me off the mountain - and it stood up to the job pretty well. The cutesy little "sleeves" on the tow strap were too thin to be useful - they're just decorative covers for the sewn ends - or I would have used them as anti-chafe where the strap went through the tow vehicle's D-ring; having a piece of heavy poly hose or a leather cover in the middle would have been a lot better (and I've already added one.)
