At my house this radio has the cleanest signal on both AM and FM. I haven't even tried shortwave, as no one is currently broadcasting on shortwave. The speaker is big and sounds great, whether listening to news and podcasts or music. I'm getting an FM station from 60 miles away that is perfectly clear. Function is easy and excellent.
