This is the correct size for a Stihl MS 260 and 261 **Q: Will it fit the Stihl MS 390 with 20” bar?** A: Thank you for contacting Oregon Tool Jim. The Stihl MS 390 can use either a .325" pitch cutting system or a 3/8" standard pitch cutting system. Those 2 chain pitches are not interchangeable so you will need to make sure which chain pitch your saw is set up for. The L81 chain is a .325" pitch chain for a 20" bar on your saw. So if you determine that your saw is set up for .325" pitch then it will work. If you determine that your saw is set up for 3/8" Standard pitch then you will be looking for Oregon 75EXL072G. I don't know what's different about these chains, but they are by far the best I've ever used. I've been cutting up an oak log that's over 3 feet in diameter. I noticed a huge difference as soon as I put one of these chains on my saw. Not only do they cut better, but they hold their edge better than any chains I've used. I couldn't be happier.
