This board charges the battery perfectly and is very small, which works great for wearable projects. Just be prepared to solder some very small and tightly packed connection points. I especially appreciate that there are solder points to add an external USB connector so you aren't required to use the USB-C port that's on the board itself To charge the battery.

I used one of these in a project for my daughter that runs a strip of LEDs off a rechargeable lithium 18650 battery. This board charges the battery perfectly and is very small, which works great for wearable projects. Just be prepared to solder some very small and tightly packed connection points. I especially appreciate that there are solder points to add an external USB connector so you aren't required to use the USB-C port that's on the board itself To charge the battery.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked for my needs.

Worked for my project. As many others have stated, I noted that these will get hot during charge. However, temperature varies on how much charge the 18650 battery has left in it, prior to charge. For instance, if the 18650 is 3/4 empty, the charge board will get noticeably hot during charge, whereas if the 18650 is 3/4 full, the charge board is noticeably cooler during charge. The RED (Charging) and BLUE (Charged) LED indicators are a nice feature. No hook-up information came with these, but there is an email address to request it. The solder pads are small. I do NOT recommend soldering wire greater than 20AWG. 22AWG is perfect. You MUST be careful when soldering to prevent cross shorts to adjacent SMD (Surface-Mount Devices) i.e. components on the board. The "IN+ and IN-" terminals I didn't use. The "OUT+ and OUT-" terminals show voltage regardless of battery's status (charging/not charging) when measured with a meter. So, I didn't use these either. Charge cut off voltage was consistent at ~4.11VDC. Battery temperature was at room temperature during charge, regardless of battery pre-charge capacity. I DO recommend these. I gave them a 4 star, due to the lack of hook-up instructions.
