I cut the small flower holes out and planted pansies in them and then filled the ring with small river pebbles and it looks great! A major problem is that these things CANNOT be cut with scissors, at least not any I own! I had to go to the home improvement store and buy a knife to cut them, and it was very difficult! But I think it was worth the effort - no more weeding,or trimming! The landscaping stone stays put, and the flower cut outs make for a very pretty garden!
