A: No oil.

**Q: Is there an expiration date ?**
A: I don't see a date on it. I may have torn it off. It lasts a very long time as it is a dried block.

**Q: How do you store this once opened? How long is it good?**
A: Store it in the fridge. It does not go bad. I use mine frequently so it is used up within 3 months.

This stuff stinks! I dry fried it to extend the shelf life and it stinks the whole house and i think the neighbourhood too and i suspect my neighbours fainted couple of times due to the smell haha sorry neighbour. Its good tho

I used this brand of shrimp paste when I was living in Indonesia, while cooking with an Indonesian family.  I am thrilled I was able to order it on Amazon now while living in Los Angeles. It adds a piquancy to food that is hard to do with any other ingredient. People eating my Southeast Asian dishes don't know why the food is so good, but they love. The smell does linger in your house after cooking with it, but I like that smell...
