Review: Great finish, great neck, good pickups and good frets - Ordinarily I would be hesitant to give five stars to a guitar at this price point, but this one truly fits the "I love it" five-star criterion. I have restrung it with Ernie Ball "Skinny Top, Heavy Bottom" strings, and it is holding tune well. It sounds great through a Fender Champion 40 amp. The finish is not a gold close to the finish on a Gibson (or Epiphone) Gold Top or Gibson All-Gold. That "buillion gold" on those guitars has always appeared to me to be pleasingly pale, almost greenish. This guitar's gold finish leans more toward orange (in fact it is close to the color of the rating stars that accompany these reviews! :-) ). That said, it is a very attractive finish and I have found only one tiny flaw, a pinhole in the finish on the top of the cutaway horn. A drop of polyurethane on a toothpick and then some polishing will take care of it well. Like the Gibson All-Gold guitar, the gold on this one is not just on the top of the body. It is on the back and sides of the body, the back of the neck, and the back of the headstock. I play mostly with a clean tone on the neck pickup and the guitar sounds great to me. The pickups sound very full and fairly strong. The neck is the most interesting thing about the guitar. It is substantial, with a hand-filling profile. I own a 2009 Gibson Les Paul Custom and a 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top, and this neck is thicker than the ones on those guitars. I really like it. Despite being a bit larger than the necks on my other similar guitars, it is quite comfortable for me. The neck is bound, and the fret ends are very well finished. The guitar was not double boxed when it arrived and there was a puncture hole in the side of the box. Nevertheless, the guitar was in good shape out of the box. I love guitars and have played for decades. I collect guitars that appeal to me and I assemble and modify electric guitars and basses, so I believe I know quality in a guitar. This guitar is of shockingly good quality for the price I paid.
Review: Not recommended especially for beginner guitar players - I am all about cheap guitars. I love them. I love setting them up, fixing them and if necessary, upgrading them. I have been doing it over 35 years. I got this guitar thinking it would need some minor tweaking but not anything close to what I discovered. I took the foam wrap off of it and saw finish dents and blemishes, a crooked switch plate, cheap brittle plastic and badly scratched pickguard, the pickguard mounting screw impacted the body and badly damaged it. The tuners are very cheap and the plastic parts are brittle, the fingerboard is unfinished in places and has glue residue everywhere. The frets were unpolished. The fretboard was also in dry as a desert. The neck pickup has substantial scratching even though the plastic cover was on it. The bottom strap button was loose and the screw holding it to the body was badly bent. Playability wise the neck pickup tone pot is non-functional and the bridge is not even close to being set right or intonated, , the bridge pickup pole screws were only barely in place and one almost fell out, the volume pots are scratchy. The strings on it were rough and felt old and dirty and just felt bad. That is what I found within the first 3 minutes after taking it out of the box. The next night I completely gutted it and am trying to resurrect a good guitar. It is a good thing I am able to fix this. But, if you are a beginning guitar player, if you buy this and take it to a Luthier to fix it you will be paying double to three times the cost of the guitar to make it playable. Maybe this was an isolated guitar. Maybe it was the last one built on a Friday afternoon. But, I would not chance it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't matter to me that this guitar is inexpensive I enjoy playing it regardless of the price tag
*by A***R on January 15, 2020*

I've seen reviews online knocking this guitar? For the cheap price I thought it was pretty decent and quite the looker too! Your going to have to pay if you want a high end hollow body so save your pennies but if you can deal with it then this is pretty good value for the money.Has the feel of my Les Paul without the weight.
