Love this product!

This almond oil is lovely! It’s silky smooth, completely unscented, and feels wonderful!! I’ve used plain coconut oil in the past which definitely leaves us feeling greasy, but this almond oil works for massage for forever and soaks right into our skin with no leftover slick feeling. I love the beautiful bottle and label it came in too, it looks so pretty on my bedroom dresser, which I can’t say of past brands I’ve bought. I installed my pump right away, added just a few squirts to my little travel bottle to add my own essential oil blend and I can have scented oil but can switch it up when the mood strikes!This oil is great for backs, but it’s also amazing for feet, hands, arms, etc. Denis’ free YouTube tutorials are great (he just came out with a 2 parter on how to massage your own forearm) and his subscription Melt series is AMAZING! You can get mini courses on hands, feet, head (I have the feet one because my honey works on his feet all day and I regularly have to work on his poor feet to keep him going) or full body couples massage courses (which I also have). Check out his free content, there’s plenty of free tutorials on massage on YouTube and get rubbing!!!!!I’ve seen a few reviews complaining that it has no scent, that it doesn’t even smell like almonds. They obviously have little to no experience with almond oil because that’s exactly what a high quality almond oil should smell like -nothing. If it smells it is probably rancid or scented or both.I’ve also seen a negative review saying to just buy a scented oil. I’d like to say, firstly, that I really appreciate a high quality oil that I can add my own essential oils to. I’ve done a lot of research on essential oils and frankly don’t trust the oils another would put in to scent a product and only want to use my own oils and blends. Secondly, this one is really inexpensive!! I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less for almond oil that didn’t feel nearly this thick and smooth for skin care, soapmaking, etc, and this one is a fantastic price!!

Not oily...great for massages

So, this product just showed up this evening. Opening the package, I found a 16 oz bottle, a pump and an empty bottle? Yep, empty. Then I reread the product page. Sure enough, the travel bottle that they send is just that, a bottle.As for the product itself, it is good. The oil absorbs into the skin nicely and isn't greasy. There is only a hint of a smell which is too bad, as I love the smell of almonds. The bottle was sealed well (maybe a little too well) but at least it arrived intact. The oil warms quickly and should last for a short time on the skin before reapplication is necessary. I can't wait to see their on line videos...Side note. Make sure that you unlock the pump before inserting it into the oil. It turns counter-clockwise and is very stiff. Trying to force it will result in it breaking, so make sure you turn it firmly in the direction of the arrow on the top of the pump.

Surprised by how faint the scent is- I’m having a tough time even sensing it without touching it to my nose. (sorry, not doing that!) This is a big deal to me, I’m picky about scents! A thin oil, not as thick as olive or canola, so that's great, seems to provide just the right amount of lubrication to let your hands glide over skin. Love that there is a tutorial included and love the concept of a tasteful set of courses to teach massage to couples together. After opening the oil up and checking it out, I’m ready to go purchase the course! (And I saw they also have a custom made pouf thing that is ideal for sitting on next to your partner that is helpful for keeping you comfortable - always important in my book for helping to keep things enjoyable for both people! This one is made kidproof- I remember how horrible it was even when I was the kid opening up a beanbag chair! So that may be another thing I’d recommend if you have the space for it. (Unfortunately space is tight around here so it’s a no go right now, but I’m eyeing it!)Oh, and love the idea of the interchangeable lids and mini bottle, though I now have to figure out where to store them, as well as the fact there was the no tamper seal thing while it was delivered- that and the bubble wrap kept it nice and protected during shipping.

My girlfriend lives on another continent so we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like. A few weeks before her visit, I purchased this pair of bottles with almond oil and watched the videos as well. We put both to use her first night in town, after 18 hours of travel. She melted. The techniques are easy to apply and very effective. The oil is perfect. Also, I wouldn't have thought of this myself, but having two sizes of bottles works out very well. The smaller bottle is all you need near the massage itself. It doesn't get in the way, is easy to handle. And later, we took the small bottle with us on a side trip. It's very convenient for travel.What I was most surprised by was how the combination of the oil with the contouring hands technique felt to me as the person giving the massage. It clearly and obviously felt good to her, but it also made my hands feel like I was caressing her with velvet. The smoothness and flow was astonishing. The sense of connectivity and intimacy was magnified compared to lotions or lesser oils. And it felt that way every stroke of every massage. I love this stuff. She loves it. And it's the first thing I'm packing when go to see her next month.

First off, the oil is low on scent, so that is a nice feature. A medium weight oil which is useful for medium to deep tissue massage.But, the pump and other caps all leaked. The pump was a real mess. Had to keep a coup,e of paper towels under the bottle at all times to keep from making a mess on the shelf for storage as well as during use so as not to slime the table it was sitting on. The travel bottle was useless as it leaked all over.Bottle lasted about 3 years before the oil started smelling a bit rancid (3 years is pretty good I think).In summary, I would like to buy again, but the bottles are not worth the hassle.
