This is a great book on the history of motorcycle jackets. Tanaka does a great job of explaining the origin of each type of jacket and placing it in the context of the overall development of motorcycle safety and fashion. I was also pleased to see a few pairs of early motorcycle boots and helmets.My only complaint is a minor one and it concerns the editing. A few word usage errors here and there (including the perennial reference to the Marlon Brando movie "The Wild One" as "The Wild Ones") and there were lots of extra spaces inserted and omitted from time to time.
