But, I wanted to understand it all more than the local staff were explaining to me. I was hoping that this book would provide more insight on why the workout "works" and how to get the most out of it, especially as my fitness level starts to improve. Unfortunately, I gained neither from this book. While it was interesting to learn more about Ellen's background and how Orangetheory came to be (the best part of the book), the book isn't much more than a thinly veiled ad for the franchise, including a large section that is meant to encourage readers to perhaps become franchisees themselves. Anything that could have provided real insight is covered at such a superficial level as to be nearly meaningless. Added to that, the writing itself is fairly dull and repetitive. In the end, it was interesting to a point, but I'm glad I paid for the Kindle version instead of the Print version, though I wish it had been available to borrow from my local library.
