They are actually clot fibers. Which is why they are lint free reusable cloths. I would first make sure what you are cleaning is dust free. Make sure you dust well enough first. 2nd, if you are cleaning your plastic eyeglass lens, I recommend using a good cleaner and microfiber cloth first to get rid of oils that smear. Lastly use this cloth with NOVUS 7020 | Plastic Clean & Shine #1. You’ll get perfectly clear glasses and displays that are well protected, static free.
