Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who demand reliability and performance. ## Description The Ursack MAJOR XL (formerly S29.3 Major AllWhite) (IGBC cert. no. 3738) is the larger version of our classic Major (formerly S29.3 AllWhite). The Major XL holds about 7 or more days of food for one person and weighs 8.7 ounces. Otherwise it is identical to the Major. The Major XL is made of “bullet proof” Spectra fabric and is designed to prevent bears from getting your food in their territory. It comes with an integrated six foot, 2,500 pound tensile strength cord. The Major XL is about 24 inches in circumference, 18.5 inches tall and holds about 925 cubic inches. While the Major XL is nearly critter resistant, the Ursack Minor may be better suited for that task. And, the AllMitey is both bear and critter resistant. Neither the AllMitey nor the Minor come in the larger 925 cu. in. size. The Ursack with improved Spectra seams (beginning April 2014) passed the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee test and was placed on its bear-resistant products list on July 31, 2014. That list is the one relied on by many, but not all, wilderness agencies, and restrictions may still apply–check first. SOME AREAS REQUIRE HARD SIDED CANISTERS. Limited Lifetime Warranty. We will replace, or refund the cost of, any properly used Ursack Major XL S29.3 in which a gap, tear or hole larger than 1/4 inch is caused by a bear. This 1/4 inch standard is the criteria used in the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee’s test protocol. We ask that customers return any damaged Ursack to us for inspection. Note: Due to the difficulty in weaving high tech Spectra, our supplier is not always able to deliver pristine white fabric (the only color available). Your Ursack may arrive with minor cosmetic blemishes. You won’t see these once you have used Ursack in the wilderness, and these in no way compromise the performance of the product. Being in bear country, we were extremely careful with keeping all of our "smelly" things in a smell proof bag, and then placing them in the Ursack bag for protection as well. Using the Ursack made me very comfortable that Bears would not get into our goods. It's strong, durable, and I know some people say heavy, but I don't think it's that heavy at all. It maybe weighs roughly 1 pound. Some of our friends carried bear canisters that weighed 5-pounds and complained about the weight of those, while the Ursack was never an issue for us. I think the price is a little steep for these bags, but I would definitely buy again when/if we need it... but honestly, I think this one may last us a great while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend! *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 16, 2018* I love this bag for hiking. I can put all my food and any other odorous items in it along with using the Opsak. I have yet to have any issues with it. I hike the A.T. and literally had to hang it on a broken branch on a small tree one night in an area bears are known to be....nothing touched it overnight ! I have two...a smaller version for shorter hikes.My only complaint and it is minor ...is it is hard to completely close the opening.....I have tried numerous times and there is always a tiny opening still. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and it kept out the small critters *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 20, 2017* So far as worked 100% of the time... and it kept out the small critters.
