Or is there a bottom on the cover?** A: tank stay is covered, the top opens up show as to fill the tank.the bottom of the cover has a cinch strap, but the bottom is still exposed. **Q: Does the cover have a bottom? Or does it just slide over and down the replacement tank without a bottom?** A: Yup it slides down over it. There's kind of a bungee pull at the bottom to pull it in snug at the bottom, but there is no coverage that wraps under the tank for coverage. But for what it is worth, we have this on a propane tank that sits out on the deck in the Colorado Rockies. It's really helped protect the tank from the elements. **Q: Is this cover insulated? Does it enable you to still cook with propane in winter? My experience is that when it's too cold, no gas comes out.** A: It is not insulated. **Q: Will this fit over a propane tank heater (to keep the tank from freezing)?** A: I didn’t even know propane tank heaters existed... I live in FL. Anyway, this cover is fairly loose-fitting and should allow for it to fit over the heater. Will it melt and/or become damaged by the heater? That’s the bigger question IMHO. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/58678144-montana-grilling-geartc-30lb-gear-ventilated-tank-cover-12-5](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/58678144-montana-grilling-geartc-30lb-gear-ventilated-tank-cover-12-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
